EN 10312 welded stainless steel tube shall be manufactured from stainless steel strip, we use automatic TIG welding type forming longitudinally welded, as welded condition, solution annealed can be offed for option.
Polishing inside and outside for sanitary applications, frequently use in convey drinking water.
EN10312 Welded Tube Dimensions And Tolerances
|Outside Diameter||Outside Diameter Tolerance||Wall Thickness|
|The Tolerance On Wall Thickness Shall Be +/– 10 %|
|Outside Diameter||Tolerance||Wall Thickness||Tolerance|
Above table specify tube outside diameters and related wall thicknesses, tube standard lengths should be 5 m or 6 m, tolerances are also given, Out of roundness is included in the tolerance of outside diameter, the tolerance on standard lengths is ± 20 mm.
Regarding weld seam, the external weld seam shall be removed, the internal weld seam can be not removed, also removed upon agreement.
Inspection And Testing
Tubes shall be smooth and have a bright surface, free from all external and internal surface defects by visually examined.
Dimensional inspection, the tube diameter and wall thickness shall be measured.
Intergranular corrosion test shall be carried out in accordance with EN ISO 3651-1 or EN ISO 3651-2.
PMI testing should be conducted to ensure grade conforming EN 10088 – 2.
Tensile test shall be carried out in accordance with EN 10002-1, Drift expanding test with EN 10234, Flattening test EN 10233.
Eddy current test shall be carried out for EN 10246-2 for Austenitic steels and ferritic-austenitic steels.
Hydrostatic test shall be carried out at a minimum gauge pressure of 50 bar.
Pneumatic test should be conducted at a minimum pressure of 6 bar.
Stainless Steel Water Tube Advantages
Tube have a smooth inner surface, not fouled for a long time use, not easy to be stained with bacteria, no worry about water quality affected.
Stainless steel is a 100% renewable material that does not cause harm to the environment.
Various Grades Selected
There are kinds of material to meet different condition, like 304, 304L, 316L, which has high strength.
Durable And Cost Saving
The thin and dense chromium-rich oxide film on the surface of stainless steel makes water tube have good corrosion resistance in all water fluid including soft water, the corrosion test data shows that the stainless steel tube can be used up to 100 years, almost no maintenance is required during the life cycle, the cost and trouble of the tube replacement are avoided, and the comprehensive use cost is lower.
High Temperature And Pressure Resistance
Whether it is high or low temperature, no harmful substances will be precipitated, and the material properties are quite stable; the high strength of stainless steel water pipes greatly reduces the possibility of leakage due to external forces and significantly reduces the water leakage rate.
